**FILE** Sen. Dianne Feinstein seeks to reimpose weapons bans that expired in …

Several days before the November elections, Sen. Dianne Feinstein asked agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to meet with her lawyers to prepare for the renewal of the Clinton-era gun ban, early in President Obama’s second term.

On Thursday, she emphasized the extensive planning that went into reviving her “assault weapons” ban. “The calls have been coming in as if this is some wild-eyed scheme,” Mrs. Feinstein told her colleagues on the Senate Judiciary Committee. “It is not.”

The intention of her legislation, the California Democrat said, “is to dry up the supply” of the 4 million semi-automatic rifles she describes as having a frightful appearance. She further pushed for enactment of a ban of ordinary rifle and pistol magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds.

More thoughtful committee members tried to steer the discussion away from emotion and toward the facts. Sen. Chuck Grassley, Iowa Republican and the ranking member, noted that the Justice Department has yet to offer an opinion on the constitutionality of the bill. In light of the Supreme Court’s 2008 Heller decision strengthening the Second Amendment, he declared the bill was “fatally flawed.”

Senate Assault Weapons Ban Vote Imminent

ALERT: The Senate Judiciary Committee is getting set to vote on an Assault Weapons Ban Bill as well as a 10 round Magazine Capacity Limit Bill and 3 other Anti-gun Bills. Radical Senators are pushing for the bills to pass the committee vote – then for a full vote in the anti-gun Democrat controlled U.S. Senate.

The Second Amendment is under attack like I have NEVER witnessed before. Every asset we have has been put on the line to save our Second Amendment rights during this all-out assault on weapons. But we are in serious trouble and desperately need your help!

Feinstein’s Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 that prohibits the sale, manufacture, transfer and importation of 157 of the most commonly-owned weapons is still being debated and may be used to give lawmakers from gun-friendly states a measure to oppose before they support the less ambitious bills that are due to come out of the Judiciary Committee.

In Congress’ first gun votes since Obama issued his Executive Orders, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted Thursday on the Leahy Bill to toughen federal penalties against illegal firearm purchases, even as senators signaled that a deep partisan divide remained over bills banning assault weapons and expanding background checks to nearly all gun buyers face a tougher battle.

The Democratic-led panel voted 11-7 to impose penalties of 15 or more years for people who legally buy firearms but give them to someone else for use in a crime or to people legally barred from acquiring weapons.

Every Senator must hear from you – raise your voice NOW before the anti-gun fanatics in the Senate tear apart the Second Amendment. It is imperative that we demand our Senator’s vote NO to both of these anti-gun bills to protect our right to self-defense and the Second Amendment.

The fanatically emotionalanti-gun media war is expanding. The anti-gun extremists at USA TODAY resorted to a study by the Boston Children’s Hospital and suddenly produced and published it saying: States with more gun laws have less gun violence.

Since when does a children’s hospital do gun studies

They must be desperate!

A detailed independent Harvard Study says there is no correlation between gun ownership and violent crime, with an emphatic NO! The study shows a negative correlation: as gun ownership increases, murder and suicide decreases.

The Harvard study appeared in Volume 30, Number 2 of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy (pp. 649-694), set out to answer the question in its title: “Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder and Suicide? A Review of International and Some Domestic Evidence.” The findings of two criminologists – Prof. Don Kates and Prof. Gary Mauser – in their exhaustive study of American and European gun laws and violence rates show that:
